Treaty of Purandar

The Treaty of Purandar was signed between Jai Singh I, commander of Mughal Empire and Shivaji Maharaj on 11 June,1665 after Jai Singh I besieged Purandar Fort. The context was the invasion of Surat by Shivaji after which in 1665 Aurangzeb sent his general to subdue Shivaji Maharaj.
