Operation Smiling Buddha
Smiling Buddha was a code name assigned to the operation where in India tested its first nuclear device, becoming the first nation outside five permanent members of the UNSC to do so. Under the leadership of PM Indira Gandhi, the Operation was detonated on the army base at the Pokharan Test Range.
