Jawaharlal Nehru was a politician, barrister, freedom fighter, administrator and diplomat who served as the first Prime Minister of Independent India from 1947 to 1964. Both, the virtues as well as the flaws of - Democracy, Socialism, Secularism and Non-Alignment, were pillars of Nehruvian India.
