Garuda Purana
The Garuda Purana is one of the eighteenth mahapurana and is a discourse between Bhagwaan Vishnu and his vehicle Garuda and it contains about 8 to 19 thousand verses. It discusses death, after life, our sins, about the God of death Yama and type of funeral rites to be performed for the department.
