Situated on the banks on Sarayu, the city of Ayodhya is the birthplace or janmbhoomi of Raja Ramchandra according to Itihaasa. Ayodhya meaning unconquerable is among the 7 cities of Bharat believed to be gateways to Moksha. A grand Mandir of Ram Lalla Virajman is currently undergoing reconstruction.
